The Alpha Murf eBike takes the original Fat Murf design and adds more speed. With a top speed of 28 mph, it is the company’s fastest bike to date.
A 52v battery gives the Alpha an extra charge over the 48v battery found in most eBikes. The battery is paired with a 750-watt motor and with five pedal-assist modes, it has a range of 30-50 miles based on pedaling style.
A single-speed drivetrain and hydraulic disc brakes round out the bike’s core specs. As with most bikes in its class, the Alpha Murf has a rear cargo rack and front headlight.
Available in both step-thru and step-over models, the Alpha Murf retails for around $3,000 at murfelectricbikes.com.
The ST model is available in three colors: Obsidian Black, Seabreeze Matte, and Bone. The standard version is available in Black and Seabreeze.
The ST model is recommended for riders between 5’3″ to 6’7″, while the standard version is recommended for taller riders between 5’7″ and 6’7″.

In 2016, Murf Electric Bikes was founded in California. The company was born based on the mission to find better surf with friends, more often and get to it faster and easier than ever before. Parking at Murf Founder Josh Jones’ favorite spots had become a hassle, and riding a regular bike to the more remote spots took too much time. Jones wanted something fast, powerful, reliable and comfortable. And it had to look good too. With a Beach Cruiser design and vibe, the Murf was born.
