As the name implies, The Higgs Cargo Murf eBike is the longer, cargo-carrying cousin of The Higgs eBike.

With its 52v battery and 750w motor, The Higgs Cargo has a top speed of 20 mph and a range of 25-50 miles per charge.

BMX-style handlebars are mounted up front and a large rear cargo rack, with wooden seat and footpads, rounds out the back. A digital control panel is mounted on the inside of the handlebars and a powerful LED headlight is mounted on the outside.

The Higgs Cargo sits lower to the ground than most of Murf’s bikes, and has similar height to the Higgs Step Thru. Due to its passenger-carrying capabilities, it has a much longer wheelbase and is overall a longer bike. Murf recommends this bike for riders 5’3″ tall and up.

Like The Higgs, the Cargo model rolls on 20×4″ tires, but instead of a single-speed drivetrain, it utilizes a 1×7 Shimano drivetrain.

The Higgs Cargo Specs:

  • 20 Mph Top Speed
  • 750 Watt Motor (Nominal Power)
  • Five-Level Pedal Assist
  • Thumb Throttle
  • Integrated Super Bright Off-Road Headlight. 18W 1080 Lumens
  • 52-Volt, 15 Amp-Hour Battery
  • 20″ X 4″ Fat Tire
  • Hydraulic Disc Brakes
  • 7 Speed Shimano Gear System
  • Roughly 75 Pounds
  • Class 2

The Higgs Cargo retails for $2,995 at murkfelectricbikes.com. There are also cargo accessories such as the adult passenger kit.

In 2016, Murf Electric Bikes was founded in California. The company was born based on the mission to find better surf with friends, more often and get to it faster and easier than ever before. Parking at Murf Founder Josh Jones’ favorite spots had become a hassle, and riding a regular bike to the more remote spots took too much time. Jones wanted something fast, powerful, reliable and comfortable. And it had to look good too. With a Beach Cruiser design and vibe, the Murf was born.
