Escape, Alcavi’s gravel bike, launched on Sept. 17. The latest offering from the Florida-based company is available in 10 configurations ranging from less than $3,000 to more than $11,000.

Alcavi introduced a line of road bikes last in 2023, but this is their first foray into the dirt world.

“What I love most about this bike is its handling on rougher terrains.” said co-founder Alfredo Campo. “It’s incredibly versatile, and it makes every ride so much more fun.”

The escape frame, which each model shares, is constructed of High Modulus Toray T700 carbon fiber with internal cable routing, aerodynamic tubes, 53mm tire clearance, and built in FLEXTECH technology. FLEXTECH is Alcavi’s frame dampening technology which, according to the company, provides enhanced comfort and efficiency by lessening vibrations while reducing rider fatigue.

“By offering perfect flex that disperses impacts for smoother rides on rough terrain, this design enhances shock absorption while maintaining exceptional stiffness for maximum power transfer, making it ideal for both endurance and performance,” Campos said.

The frame also includes water bottle bosses, with multiple locations on the down tube, as well as top tube mounts for a bag or other accessory. The carbon aero fork uses a 12x100mm thru axle and flat mount disc brake mounts.

Groupset options include both 1x and 2x options, using Shimano GRX variations as well as a full complement of SRAM drivetrains.

At the low end of the line, the Escape Challenge features 1×12 GRX 820 or SRAM APEX AXS with Dt Swiss Gravel G 1800 alloy wheels. The top-of-the-line model is equipped with electronic 1×13 SRAM RED EXPLR, Ceramic Speed Bottom Bracket and a Rolla Racing Carbon wheelset.

The frames on Alcavi’s Escape gravel bike, which took two years to develop, come in four color schemes: Matte Green/Blue, Matte Gray/Black, Matte Mustard/Blue and Silver Glossy/Black and comes in five sizes ranging from extra-small 48cm to extra large 59cm.

Each model is equipped with tubeless-ready 700×40 Pirelli Cinturato Gravel M clincher tires.

Another gravel line called Vortex is coming later this year and Alcavi is also designing a mountain bike.

“At Alcavi, we’re a brand of passionate people who believe in the power of two wheels to transform lives,” Campo said. “We’re dedicated to crafting the perfect bicycle for every occasion, so you can experience the freedom, fun, and performance that only a bike can deliver.”

Alcavi was founded by ex-MTB pro and motocross icon Aldon Baker and BMX Olympian Alfredo Campo. The company is based in Center Hill, FL.
