Looking for an affordable electric road bike? Look no further than the Ride1up CF Racer1.
Road bike eBikes from the big brands easily come with five-figure price tags. Coming in just north of $2,000, the Ride1up CF Racer1 is an affordable electric road bike.
While the price tag is half of most road eBikes, the CF Racer1 specs are fully fledged. Thanks to lightweight, but strong carbon fiber, the bike weighs in at less than 30 pounds. You won’t find any no-name components, instead you’ll find a SRAM Rival 1×11 groupset with hydraulic disc brakes. The modern features don’t end there, either. The handlebar and stem combo is molded out of carbon fiber and instead of quick-release axles, the Racer1 comes with modern thru-axles.
While most eBikes these days are heavy fat-bike-based machines, the CF Racer1 is a true road bike. It’s made of Carbon Fiber and won’t look out of place on your local club ride.
To keep the weight down and the road bike styling, the electronic motor and battery aren’t as beefy as some eBikes. In fact, battery range is limited to just 16-40 miles from the 250W Hub motor, but that should be plenty to assist you up that large hill, or get you home after you misjudged your nutrition and bonked.
