The Mokwheel Basalt ST 2.0 is the latest in the company’s line of Power Station electric bikes and now comes standard with solar-powered charging and anti-theft controls.

Mokwheel’s Power Station eBikes can charge devices such as phones and laptops when paired with the 1,000-watt inverter.

Another upgraded feature over the prior version includes a detachable head unit that, when removed, prevents the bike from powering on, which is a theft deterrent.

In addition to a tail light that illuminates when braking, the 2.0 also features rider-activated turn signals on each side of the bike. A dual-bulb headlight is also standard.

A removable 48V 19.6A UL safety-certified battery is paired to a rear-hub 750-watt motor that produces a top speed of 28 mph and an advertised range of up to 80 miles per charge. Weighing in at 68 pounds, the Basalt ST 2.0 has a weight limit of 350 pounds, which includes the rider. A rear rack, with wood slats can assist with errands and commuting.

Like most eBikes in its class, a Shimano 7-speed rear derailleur is utilized for shifting gears. Braking is accomplished via Tektro HD-E350 Hydraulic Disc Brakes. Hydraulic disc brakes typically provide more stopping power than the mechanical version.

An adjustable front suspension fork and 26 x 4-inch tires help keep the ride smooth.

The ST in the name stands for “Step-Thru.” Step-Thru bikes are typically easier to get on and off as they don’t have a top tube.

The new version also comes in some new color schemes. It is offered in Olive Green, White, Orange and Jungle Camo colors.

The Basalt ST 2.0 currently retails for $1,799 at Mokwheel.com.
