Puckipuppy Husky Plus and Bulldog compared

At first glance, the Puckipuppy Husky Plus and Bulldog don’t appear to have much in common, but both of these electric bikes are long-range machines.

The Bulldog is one of Puckipuppy’s newest models and has a range of up to 130 miles. While, the Husky, has a range of 110 miles. The secret to the long range is that the Puckipuppy Husky Plus and Bulldog are both equipped with two batteries.

Both bikes feature 48v batteries. The Bulldog has two 15Ah batteries, while the Husky has one 15Ah and a bigger 18Ah battery.

The batteries are about all that these two bikes have in common. The Husky Plus is a foldable trike that rolls on three 20″ tires, while the Bulldog is a dual-suspension, off-road machine with 26×4″ fat-bike tires.

If you haven’t figured it out yet, Puckipuppy names all of its eBike models after dog breeds.

With a 750-watt motor, the Husky plus has a top speed of 15 mph. The Bulldog on the other hand runs on a 1,000-watt motor and has a top speed of 28 mph.

The bulldog weighs in at 77 pounds, while the Husky plus comes in at 103 pounds. Both bikes have respectable weight limits. The Bulldog can carry 400 pounds and the Husky Plus can accommodate 500 pounds of cargo. A rear rack is a standard feature on the Bulldog, while the Husky Plus comes with a cargo bucket.

Both models run hydraulic disk brakes and a Shimano 1×7 drivetrain. Adjustable front suspension, front and rear fenders and lights are also features that both bikes share.

The Husky Plus is offered in gray or light red colors and is selling for $2,000 at Puckipuppy.com. The Bulldog is available in silver blue, gray and line camouflage colors. It’s priced at $2,100 at Puckipuppy.com.
