The Ridel Eko is a lightweight electric road bike perfect for commuting and riding around the city.

Thanks to a lightweight aluminum frame, the Eko weighs just 38 pounds and has a weight limit of 260 pounds. A 250W rear-hub motor is paired to a 48V battery to give the Eco a top speed of 28 mph in pedal assist mode and a range of up to 38 miles. Recharging the Ridel Eko takes 3 or 4 hours.

A handlebar-mounted LED screen displays relevant ride data, such as which one of the five pedal assist modes the bike is in. Front and rear lights, with brake lights help provide visibility and increase rider safety.

A flat handlebar, single-speed drivetrain and 700c wheels, give the Eko a hipster vibe, while the mechanical disc brakes and battery integrated into the frame are more modern touches.

The Ridel Eko doesn’t have a throttle, so the electric motor only kicks in when the rider is pedaling, but a torque sensor adjusts the motor output based on the pedaling power.

The Eko is currently price at $699 at RidelBikes.com.
