The Engwe M20 2.0 is a moped-style eBike with front and rear suspension and an available dual-battery configuration.
The M20‘s steel frame was inspired by the sleek shape of a flying fish. Thie moped-style electric bike rolls on 20-inch wheels wrapped in tan-wall, four-inch fat tires. The off-road tires, adjustable 50mm front suspension and rear hydraulic shock offer a cushy ride over rough terrain.
The Engwe M20 2.0 is powered by a 750-watt rear-hub motor that can produce 1200 watts of peak power. As with all bikes in its class, it has a top speed of 28mph using pedal assist. When using both of the 52-volt batteries, the M20 has a range of 63 miles in throttle only mode, or an impressive 162 miles in pedal assist 1 mode.
Shifting is courtesy of a Shimano 7-speed drivetrain, with a single front chainring and 7-speed derailleur. Hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors bring the bike to a stop.
A color LED display shows relevant ride data such as pedal assist mode, speed, and distance. A twist throttle is used when the rider wants to move without pedaling.
In addition to dual batteries and dual suspension the M20 also comes with dual headlights. The front LED headlights offer increased visibility and safety while riding at night. A taillight and front and rear fenders are also standard features.
With one battery, the M20 weighs 88.6 pounds. When the second battery is added, the weight increases to 99.8 pounds. It is available in a blue color scheme.
The dual-battery version retails for $1,199 and the single-battery configuration is $999 at engwe-bikes.com.
