A trust in the name of Frederick K.W. Day, who is the co-founder and executive vice president of the SRAM bicycle component company, recently bought an oceanfront mansion in Hillsboro Beach, Florida.

According to the South Florida Business Journal, the Hillsboro Beach mansion that Day purchased for $15.65 million features five bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms, a pool, private dock, outdoor kitchen, a roof deck and a private pathway to the beach.

Day and his brother Stan founded SRAM in 1987 with a single product, the Grip Shift shifter. The company has since grown into one of the world’s premier cycling component companies, which produces high-end bicycle components such as drivetrains, brakes, suspension and wheels. In adbrands include RockShox, Avid, Truvative, Zipp and Quark

Day and his wife Leah founded World Bicycle Relief which provides the Buffalo Bicycle to students, healthcare workers and entrepreneurs in low-income regions so that they can create opportunities for themselves, their families and entire communities. More than 400,000 Buffalo Bicycles have been distributed and over 1,900 field mechanics have been trained by the nonprofit.

Day is married to photographer Leah Missbach Day. They live in Chicago with their son Lincoln Ray Day.
