The Alaskan three-wheel eBike, is the latest trike from Puckipuppy, the brand that names all of its electric bikes after dog breeds.
The 103-pound Alaskan has a top speed of 15 mph and range of up to 55 miles on a single charge. A 48-volt battery powers a 750-watt motor to a peak output of 960 watts.
The Alaskan rolls on three 20″ x 4″ Fat tires, each with hydraulic disc brakes and 160mm rotors. The brakes can also be used as a parking brake, so the bike won’t roll when parked on steep inclines. The Puckipuppy Alaskan three-wheel eBike comes with a front basket and rear cargo box and can accommodate an impressive 500 pounds of cargo, including the rider.
Like most eBikes in its class, the Alaskan has a 1×7-speed Shimano drivetrain and front suspension fork. One feature this is unique is that the frame folds for easier storage and transport. A top-of-the-line rear differential gives the bike the ability to maintain balance when going through corners.
A curved back handlebar and seat with backrest give the Alaskan a comfortable ride. Front and rear fenders keep the rider and cargo clear of water and road debris, while front and rear lights offer safety and visibility.
The Puckipuppy Alaskan three-wheel eBike comes in one size and fits riders between 5’0”-6’2” tall. It is offered in blue, black or white colors and as of publishing retails for $1,499 at puckipuppy.com.
