River City Summer Slam 2024
August 16 - August 18
The annual River City Summer Slam ride is presented by the Major Taylor Cycling Club of North Florida. It takes place at the Mayport Naval Station the weekend of Aug. 16.
Here is the weekend schedule:
August 16, 2024:
3:00 pm to 5:00 pm – Participant Check-in and Pick-up for un-mailed Packets, 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm Meet and Greet (Ocean Breeze, 243 Baltimore St, Jacksonville, FL 32227)
August 17, 2024: Main Ride Day
6:30 am – Riders meet outside of the Navy Lodge
6:45 am – Safety Briefing
7:00 am Wheels up!!
2:00 pm After-ride Lunch (Ocean Breeze, 243 Baltimore St, Jacksonville, FL 32227)
6:00 – 9:00 pm Evening Shenanigans, featuring The Groove Coalition band (Ocean Breeze, 243 Baltimore St, Jacksonville, FL 32227)
August 18, 2024: Optional Recovery Ride
7:30 am – Riders meet outside of the Navy Lodge
7:45 am – Safety Briefing
8:00 am Wheels up for Recovery Ride
12:00 pm Farewell Brunch (First Watch, 544-4 Marsh Landing Pkwy, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250 )
